The Wonderful Sounds of Female Vocals (SACD hibrid dublu)

Female voices have always been celebrated by music lovers, but when great female vocals are well recorded, they make audiophiles’ hearts beat faster. Chad Kassem, owner of the US label and distributor Acoustic Sounds, has been releasing new editions of titles worth listening to for many years. For ‘The Wonderful Sounds of Female Vocals’, he has gathered the best from his archive and released a sampler that is one pearl at a time.

On this double-hybrid SACD, Kassem brings together 22 songs that will unleash the full potential of your hi-fi system: the best demo tracks by female artists such as Julie London, Diana Krall, Rickie Lee Jones, Nina Simone, Janis Ian, Phoebe Snow, Jennifer Warnes, Dusty Springfield and Shelby Lynne. The accompanying booklet features liner notes by analogue guru Michael Fremer, who provides a charming and knowledgeable guide to the collection.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
