Mihalis Kalkanis Group – Emotions (Live Recording at Megaron) (Vinil 180g, LP)

This album is a milestone in the journey of the Mihalis Kalkanis Group, a reflection of the three years of the band’s journey so far. In this journey, I, together with five other special companions, strive for a contemporary and authentic sound. Through the balanced coexistence of electronic/processed sounds with acoustic instruments, we have tried to give coherence to melodies, some of which touch the West and remind us of film music, others of which smell of Greece and the Balkans. All these different melodies move me equally, so I was fascinated by the idea of combining the different colours into a beautiful musical painting.
