Arnett Cobb – Party Time (SACD hibrid)

At the time of this 1957 recording, US saxophonist Arnett Cobb was still recovering from a serious car accident. He recorded three strong albums for Prestige in 1959, including Party Time. Cobb was accompanied by pianist Ray Bryant, bassist Wendell Marshall, drummer Art Taylor and Ray Barretto on congas. Tracks such as When My Dreamboat Comes Home, Blues in the Closet and Flying Home make this album a top choice.

Kevin Gray remastered the stereo hybrid SACD for Analogue Productions. An absolute must for all jazz listeners!

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
