Whitney Houston – Whitney (SuperVinyl 180g, LP)

Her second album, „Whitney,” not only made Whitney Houston a singing sensation known around the world by her first name. Released in June 1987, it was also the first album by a female artist to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart – a position „Whitney” held for 11 weeks. The diamond-platinum work also contains four single hits that, along with the three hits of the 1985 debut album, gave her seven consecutive number 1 singles. Chapeau!

Whitney Houston’s trademark mezzo-soprano, equally capable of soaring and soothing, sounds clearer and more direct than ever in the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab remastering. „Whitney” brims with joie de vivre, combining rhythmic vibes and deep emotions with which the star has forever played her way into the hearts and minds of an entire generation. This album set the standard for a whole series of female artists who followed in her footsteps.

LP with 33 rpm on 180 gram SuperVinyl.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
