Van Halen – Women And Children First [Ultradisc One-Step LP] (Vinil 180g, LP dublu)

“Women And Children First” is the third studio album by the US rock band Van Halen, released on March 26, 1980 by Warner Bros. Records – and the first to consist entirely of self-written songs. The band, consisting of brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen, David Lee Roth and Michael Anthony, recorded a large part of the album live in the studio – within two and a half weeks and with little overdubbing. The quartet confirmed their status as America’s leading rock band with “Women And Children First” – the harder sound was extremely well received by the press and the audience: In the US, the album reached number 6 on the Billboard charts, and in the UK and Germany it reached the top 20. With almost seven million units sold, “Women And Children First” is one of the mega-sellers in the Van Halen discography!

After the album release, Van Halen went on tour. David Fricke of Rolling Stone Magazine, who described the songs on “Women And Children First” as “artworks with high volume”, and the record company were curious to see how the new, somewhat more serious approach of the “party metal band” would be received live: It didn’t take long for it to become clear that the “Invasion” tour would be even more successful than the tours for the previous albums – Van Halen broke all records live!

The numbered double LP from Mobile Fidelity, strictly limited to 7,500 copies, was especially remastered for this edition from the original tapes at the MoFi studio in California and pressed onto 180-gram SuperVinyl (45 RPM) using the sonically superior UltraDisc One-Step process. A deluxe slipcase, special foil-stamped jackets and faithful-to-the-original graphics illuminate the splendor of this edition. The Grammy-winning milestone from 1979 scores with rich colors and sparkles with energy, detail and dynamics! Thanks to the MFSL One-Step version, “Women And Children First” offers more live feeling than ever before – just turn up the volume!

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
