Nicki Parrott – Fly Me To The Moon (Vinil 180g, LP dublu)

Australian musician and composer Nicki Parrott is a true multi-talent: initially trained on the flute and piano, she later switched to the double bass and achieved mastery and great popularity on this instrument. She performed for many years at the legendary Les Paul Sessions at the Iridium jazz club and in several successful Broadway ensembles, playing alongside pianist Rachel Z and her sister Lisa Parrott. On her second album for Venus, “Fly Me To The Moon,” Parrott once again surrounds herself with wonderful musicians: John di Martino, Billy Drummond and Harry Allen – familiar faces from her previous album “Moon River” – are joined by Nicki’s sister Lisa, who plays baritone and soprano saxophones, and guitarist Mark Sganga.

“Fly Me To The Moon” was recorded on June 17, 18, and 19, 2008, at Avatar Studio in New York, and was produced by legendary sound engineer Tetsuo Hara.

Strictly limited double LP. The records are cut at 33 RPM and pressed on 180-gram Vinyl.

Venus Records was founded in Japan in 1992 by Tetsuo Hara, who had previously worked as a producer for RCA Victor. The renowned label uses a special mastering process called “Hyper Magnum Sound,” which produces a powerful, dynamic sound and is highly regarded by audiophiles worldwide. A quick note: Venus LPs are pressed only once. Once the run is sold out, the title is removed from the catalog and will not be reissued. Collectors should therefore not wait too long to place their orders: the releases from the “Venus Masterpiece Collection” are extremely popular!

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
