Moussorgsky – Pictures at an Exhibition (Ediție pe bandă magnetică (1 bandă))

Moussorky’s stunning suite, written in honour of a painter friend, was inspired by a visit to an art exhibition. Each of the movements represents one of the drawings or works of art on display. The depth and timbre of this recording of Ravel’s orchestration was fully captured using only two omnidirectional microphones on a 1/4′ analogue tape at 15 ips.
