Monty Alexander Trio – Love Me Tender (Vinil 180g, LP dublu)

With his numerous albums released on Venus Records, Eddie Higgins has established himself as one of Japan’s most renowned jazz musicians. Higgins, who passed away in 2009, was one of those rare pianists who knew exactly where on the keyboard to find the best chords needed to tell the story he wanted to tell. He also knew how to cover the entire ivory keyboard without hammering the keys or overdoing it. The man who has played and recorded with many of jazz’s greatest names – including Coleman Hawkins, Jack Teagarden, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, and Wayne Shorter – performs on this compilation in various trio lineups, showcasing a selection of his most popular interpretations of famous standards. “Love Me Tender” was recorded on September 12 and 13, 2010, at Avatar Studio in New York, USA, and produced by Tetsuo Hara and Todd Barkan.

Strictly limited double LP of “Love Me Tender”. The records are cut at 33 RPM and pressed on 180-gram vinyl

Venus Records was founded in Japan in 1992 by Tetsuo Hara, who had previously worked as a producer for RCA Victor. The renowned label uses a special mastering process called “Hyper Magnum Sound,” which produces a powerful, dynamic sound and is highly regarded by audiophiles worldwide. A quick note: Venus LPs are pressed only once. Once the run is sold out, the title is removed from the catalog and will not be reissued. Collectors should therefore not wait too long to place their orders: the releases from the “Venus Masterpiece Collection” are extremely popular!

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
