Much like Dean Martin, Julie London’s recording career began on the silver screen in the 1940s. In 1955, she recorded her debut LP on the newly formed Liberty Records label. „Julie Is Her Name” was recorded in August of that year in state-of-the-art mono sound and is considered a true classic among jazz and pop fans of the 1950s! The album includes the hit single „Cry Me A River” and the outstanding interpretations of „I Should Care” and „No Moon At All.”
Backed by the legendary Barney Kessel on guitar and Ray Leatherwood on bass, this LP release brings back memories of the cool ’50s. Feel transported back to a time when a 15-inch coaxial speaker, a 20-watt amplifier and a girl who looks like Julie were all that mattered.
We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
