Fritz Reiner & Chicago Symphony Orchestra – Prokofiev: Alexander Nevsky (SACD hibrid multicanal)

This recording from the legendary RCA Red Seal series dates from 1960 and is one of only two recordings of Fritz Reiner with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra that also features a chorus. The mezzo-soprano is Rosalind Elias.

This reissue from Analogue Productions has been remastered by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound in New York and features a stereo CD and stereo SACD track as well as a 3-channel SACD track based on the original tapes.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
