Dire Straits – Brothers In Arms (SHM-SACD single layer)

There are hit albums. There are blockbusters. And there is ‘Brothers in Arms’. One of the world’s best-selling albums, it catapulted Mark Knopfler and the band to the top of the charts and won two Grammys, including one for Best Mixing. ‘Brothers In Arms’ is the kind of epic album that only a few are released in a decade, and remains a reference for audiophiles to this day.

MTV may have contributed to the album’s enormous success, but it is the superbly crafted songs and the unforgettable instrumental playing of the musicians involved that make it a classic. Mark Knopfler’s guitar riffs and Sting’s vocals on Money for Nothing are unmistakable to any music lover.

This title is an SHM SACD. This format is the further development of the single-layer SACD and uses a particularly light-transparent plastic (Super High Material). It allows a much better readability of the pit-land structures on the surface than is possible with hybrid SACDs. Universal’s SHM SACDs are generally re-digitized to DSD from the albums’ master tapes without any changes. SHM SACDs can be played on any SACD player. Please do not use L’Art du Son or alcohol-based cleaning agents. – Please note: All titles are designed by Universal Music as limited edition collector’s items for the Japanese market.
