Daniel Barenboim & Chicago Symphony – Wagner: Overtures and Preludes (SACD hibrid)

Conductor Daniel Barenboim led the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1991 to 2006 and is associated with the works of Richard Wagner through his time as conductor of the Bayreuth Festival, where he conducted Tristan und Isolde, Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Parsifal and the Ring des Nibelungen from 1981 to 1999. These recordings were made at the Orchestral Hall in Chicago between 1992 and 1994.
