Count Basie – At The Sands (Before Frank) (Vinil 180g, LP dublu)

Take a seat in the middle of the eighth row of the Copa Room at the Sands Hotel, Las Vegas. Treat yourself to a cocktail. And enjoy a wonderful concert, because: Count Basie is waiting for you with his big band. Frank Sinatra had invited the jazz pianist to warm up the audience before his concert, and Basie did. The dynamic entertainer made the hall swing with his first-class orchestra.

Transparency, clarity, ravishing detail and a large stage with properly placed instruments are the hallmarks of Krieg Wunderlich’s remastering. Joining him on stage are tenor saxophonist Eddie „Lockjaw” Davis, saxophonist Eric Dixon and drummer „Sonny” Payne. Each instrument gets its own spot and Basie’s piano resonates with more detail than ever.

The 180g double vinyl LP comes in gatefold cover with detailed liner notes in limited edition with consecutive serial number.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
