Violinist Kyung Wha Chung and pianist Phillip Moll perform works by Brahms, Kreisler and Elgar. Kyung-wha Chung has been widely acclaimed by critics and audiences alike; in the 1970s and ’80s, her name was mentioned in the same breath as colleagues such as Pinchas Zukerman and Itzhak Perlman.
Her characterful playing made her one of the most popular violinists in the world. Her posture alone betrays her dedication and love for music and the violin in every muscle movement. Yet even in the face of her most spectacular recording, the modest musician will deny to this day that she is a virtuoso.
„Con Amore” contains a great selection of pieces that are usually played as encores and thus should be mostly familiar to the listener – but no less welcome because of it.
