Carly Simon – Anticipation (Vinil 180g, LP dublu)

Carly Simon’s intense second album is bold and completely autobiographical: “Anticipation” heralds the arrival of a great artist. The gold-certified album addresses themes such as love, relationships, and longing, and reflects on the difficulty of maintaining one’s own identity while devoting oneself to a partner. Released in November 1971 on Elektra Records, the title track and first single, “Anticipation,” quickly became a Top 20 hit in the US. In 1973, the song, which describes Simon’s state of mind while waiting for a date with Cat Stevens, was used as the soundtrack for several television commercials for Heinz Ketchup. “I’ve Got To Have You,” written by Kris Kristofferson, was released as a single in Australia and reached number six on the Australian charts in 1972. Released before the singer-songwriter movement reached its peak, “Anticipation” remains a remarkable achievement in songwriting. The iconic cover, featuring the singer in front of the gates of Queen Mary’s Garden in Regent’s Park, serves as a visual metaphor for the album’s content.

MFSL is proud to present “No Secrets” in audiophile reference quality: mastered from the original tapes at MoFi Studio in California, manufactured by Fidelity Record Pressing, strictly limited to 3,000 numbered copies and housed in a luxurious gatefold jacket by Stoughton Printing, this double LP (180 grams, 45 RPM) offers the best sound quality the album has ever received on vinyl and sets new standards in terms of three-dimensionality, transparency and dynamics.
