Billy Harper Quintet – Antibes ‘75 (Vinil 180g, LP)

Set against a picturesque Mediterranean backdrop under starry skies, saxophonist Billy Harper and his quintet wowed audiences with their performance at the Antibes Juan-Les-Pins Jazz Festival in 1975. Released for the first time, the two signature pieces „Cry of Hunger” and „Croquet Ballet” reveal all their soulful glory in this recording. A 6-page insert with previously unseen images additionally adorns this release from Sam Records.

Musicians: Virgil Jones (tr), Billy Harper (ts), Joe Bonner (p, arr), David Friesen (kb), Malcolm Pinson (dr)

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
