Steely Dan – Aja (SACD hibrid)

Hardly any hi-fi show in the 70s and 80s could do without ‘Aja’, the perfection of the recording can be heard in every note. The band’s best-selling album won a Grammy for best engineering, and the top five songs „Deacon Blues” and „Peg” went platinum and still resonate today. Not for nothing did Rolling Stone rank Aja 67th on their list of the 500 greatest albums of all time; the album’s sophisticated blend of rock, jazz and fusion music is impressively multi-layered and was recorded and produced with a lot of (Steely Dan-typical) attention to detail.

The remastering was done by Bernie Grundman. Many well-known session musicians are featured alongside the regular line-up, including Joe Sample, Larry Carlton, Wayne Shorter, Steve Gadd and Lee Ritenour.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
