Seals & Crofts – Diamond Girl (SACD hibrid)

“Diamond Girl,” the title track of Seals & Crofts’ fifth studio album, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1973. Like most of their songs, this jazz-influenced piece was written by Jim Seals and Dash Crofts. Alan Bershaw of Paste Magazine described the song as “the rousing title track” of the album and praised the way the lyrics “skillfully describe either love for a woman or devotion to God, depending on your interpretation.” The latter comes as no surprise, as the duo were known to be followers of the Bahá’í faith. “Diamond Girl” became another top 10 hit for Seals & Crofts and helped the album of the same name reach number 4 on the Billboard 200, making it the most successful album of their career.

As part of its “Acoustic Sounds 40 Series,” Analogue Productions is now celebrating this classic album with a collectible Hybrid-SACD. The elaborate and loving remastering to DSD from the original tapes ensures that this Hybrid SACD offers sound quality that has never been heard before!

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
