Santana – III (SACD hibrid)

The third studio album by Latin rockers Santana is also the last to feature the legendary Woodstock band of Carlos Santana, organist Gregg Rolie, drummer Michael Schrieve, bassist David Brown and conga player Michael Carabello. They were joined by young guitar virtuoso Neal Schon, who was discovered by the band members at the age of 15 in a Palo Alto club, and percussionist Thomas ‘Coke’ Escovedo, who filled in for the ill Chepito Areas. The three-piece percussion section, with cymbals, congas, drums, tambourine, vibraphone and the new discovery Schon, fitted in perfectly with the existing band. Santana III (also known as The Third Album) is musical chemistry with a perfect ending that is unfairly overshadowed by its predecessor, Abraxas.

Remastered for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab by Rob LoVerde. Hybrid SACD in mini-LP format; limited edition with consecutive serial number.
