Rob Wasserman – Duets (Vinil 180g, LP)

The concept of this album is: simplicity. Rob Wasserman plays bass, accompanied by one voice at a time. The result is a charming collection of duets of his instrument with the vocals of Aaron Neville, Rickie Lee Jones, Bobby McFerrin, Lou Reed, Jennifer Warnes, Dan Hicks, Cheryl Bentyne and Stephane Grappelli.

When recording, Wasserman tried to use as little technical intervention as possible. His bass doesn’t dominate the vocals, but acts as a partner. „It’s like being in a club. It brings you closer to the song,” Wasserman says. Remastering from the original tapes was done at Joe Gastwirt Mastering, and the lacquer cut was done by Kevin Gray.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
