Rob Wasserman – Duets (SACD hibrid)

The concept of this album is simplicity. Rob Wasserman plays bass, accompanied by one voice at a time. The result is a charming collection of duets between his instrument and the voices of Aaron Neville, Rickie Lee Jones, Bobby McFerrin, Lou Reed, Jennifer Warnes, Dan Hicks, Cheryl Bentyne and Stephane Grappelli.

During the recording, Wasserman tried to keep technical interference to a minimum. His bass does not dominate the vocals, but acts as a partner. „It’s like being in a club. It brings you closer to the song,” says Wasserman. The remastering from the original tapes was done by Joe Gastwirt Mastering.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
