Ray Charles – Ray Charles [Mono] (Vinil 180g, LP dublu)

Atlantic Records began releasing 12-inch LPs of hit singles by their established rhythm & blues artists in 1956. An early release in this „8000 ‘popular’ series” was Ray Charles’ 1957 album of the same name. It was not only the pianist and singer’s first studio album, but also a compilation of his hit singles up to his debut. The LP was re-released in 1962 as „Hallelujah I Love Her So”.

Two of the three songs on ‘Ray Charles’ were written by Charles himself, but his interpretations of songs such as ‘Mess Around’ and ‘Greenbacks’ also became chart successes. The double 45 rpm LP was remastered by Bernie Grundman.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
