Peter, Paul & Mary – Album 1700 (Vinil 180g, LP dublu)

The album with the unusual name, which was created by the original catalog number at Warner, contains the most successful song of the folk-rock trio: „Leaving On A Jet Plane” stayed at number one in the US charts for weeks. But „I Dig Rock and Roll Music” also made it into the top ten. All in all, stylistically rather untypical for the trends of the time, the album nevertheless became a great success and belongs to the most important recordings of Peter, Paul & Mary.

Despite all excursions into rockier realms – in fact, electronically amplified instruments can also be heard here – PPM inspire above all with their wonderful three-part harmony vocals. This has been given even more space and depth by the remastering by Kevin Gray. The re-release by Analogue Productions as a double 180-gram with 45 rpm literally takes the listener back to the studio.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
