Nilsson – Son of Schmilsson (SACD hibrid)

Harry Nilsson made his commercial breakthrough with ‘Nilsson Schmilsson’. But even success did not force the eccentric musician to betray his artistic ideals. On his eighth album, ‘Son of Schmilsson’, he made it clear with the opening track, ‘Take 54’, that he had no intention of following in the footsteps of his predecessor and holding back in any way. The madcap album is a wild ride through splatter effects, crude jokes and obscenities – which earned the artist a gold award and a Top 40 single with ‘Spaceman’. Looking back, ‘Son of Schmilsson’ reveals defiant genius and raw fun.

Remastered for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab by Rob LoVerde. The hybrid SACD comes in a limited edition mini-LP cover with consecutive serial numbering.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
