Nils Lofgren – Acoustic Live (SACD hibrid)

In 1997, Nils Lofgren released a special treat for his longtime fans, following the unplugged tradition that was so popular in the 1990s. On Acoustic Live, the guitarist and singer-songwriter, alone and armed only with a guitar, delights his appreciative audience with a selection of little gems, including favourites such as You, No Mercy and Keith Don’t Go, as well as six new songs.

In addition to his work as a solo artist, Lofgren has been a member of Neil Young’s band Crazy Horse, his own band Grin and, of course, more than 25 years as Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist in the E Street Band. On numerous albums and tours, Lofgren established himself as a top guitarist and captivated audiences with his dynamic stage personality. With his Acoustic Live album, he proves once again that he is an excellent musician. Acoustic Live was recorded on 18 January 1997 at The Barns Of Wolftrap in Vienna (Virginia, USA). The recording was done digitally at 44.1 kHz / 16-bit. This makes Acoustic Live a rare exception in the Analogue Productions catalogue: Although no analogue master tapes could be used, Analogue Productions decided to reissue the album on SACD due to the exceptional quality of the recording. The remastering was done by Ryan Smith

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
