Montrose – Montrose (Vinil 180g, LP dublu)

Few debut albums pack as much punch as “Montrose”. Released in 1973, this powerhouse not only introduced guitarist Ronnie Montrose and a then-unknown singer named Sammy Hagar, but practically rewrote the rules of American hard rock. From the opening riff of “Rock The Nation” to the thunder of “Bad Motor Scooter” and “Space Station #5,” “Montrose” delivers 35 minutes of pure, high-octane energy. It’s loud and full of attitude – the album that bridged the gap between the power of Led Zeppelin and the glitz of Van Halen. In fact, Eddie Van Halen himself cited Montrose as the blueprint for what was to come next. Produced by Ted Templeman (who would soon helm Van Halen’s own breakthrough), the album’s sound is full of killer instinct and no filler – massive guitar tones, airtight grooves, and Hagar’s raw, unfiltered vocals at their peak. It’s the kind of album that never disappeared from rock fans’ turntables and is still celebrated by critics as one of the greatest debut albums in rock history. Turn up the volume and feel the spark that ignited an era.

As part of its “Acoustic Sounds 40 Series,” Analogue Productions is now celebrating this classic album with a collectible double LP: pressed on 180-gram vinyl by industry leader Quality Record Pressings (QRP), cut at 45 RPM and housed in a luxurious tip-on gatefold jacket by Stoughton Printing.
