Miles Davis – Milestones (SACD hibrid)

The „Milestones” in stereo from MFSL! Nestled between „Round About Midnight” and „Kind of Blue”, this is the only studio album that Davis recorded with his original sextet: Cannonball Adderley, John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones. Jazz connoisseurs see this line-up as the cornerstone of the later BlueNote Records house sound, and yet the blues influence was surprising. The album became famous for the introduction of modal tunings into jazz on the eponymous track „Milestones”.

Previously only available in MONO from MFSL, the hybrid SACD now finds its way into your collection in stereo as a numbered edition. Remastered for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab by Shawn R. Britton.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
