A memorable debut album: When Motown released *Got To Be There* on January 24, 1972, Michael Jackson was just 13 years old. He was still performing with the Jackson 5, but the debut album showcased new facets of his extraordinary vocal talent. The album features the singles “Gotta Be There,” “Rockin’ Robin,” and “I Wanna Be Where You Are” and sold approximately 2.2 million copies worldwide. However, the most successful track was Jackson’s cover of “Rockin’ Robin” (Carole King), which sold over 2 million copies in the U.S. alone.
Universal Music Japan is now presenting a strictly limited LP reissue of “Got To Be There” – pressed on high-quality, clear orange 180-gram vinyl (33 RPM). The album comes with an OBI strip and contains a booklet including liner notes and lyrics.
We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
