At the high-end audio shows in Munich and Moers, a vinyl test pressing was played in several listening rooms, attracting visitors’ attention and generating significant demand. The cat is finally out of the bag: The album is the first release from the Swiss label “rundum.music,” which was founded in 2025 by producer Ramona Huber. Behind rundum.music are the Swiss company HiFiction AG and Micha Huber. This brings us full circle, as Ramona Huber’s husband and the aforementioned company are known worldwide for producing high-quality analog audio playback equipment under the Thales and EMT brands! The Hubers’ passion for the best possible vinyl playback leads to a logical next step: the production of records of the very highest quality! This is exactly where Ramona Huber comes in, and with “Alles Gute,” the debut album by Swiss artist Maria Wylma, she has already landed a success – an artist we will hopefully be hearing a lot more from. Uwe Kirbach, editor-in-chief of the renowned German high-end magazine “image hifi,” expresses his admiration in the 3/2026 issue for the label’s debut release and the “extremely three-dimensional effect and naturalness of the voice.” The recording was performed live and mixed analog on-site, without interrupting the musical flow of the songs with cuts. The result is a fresh, lifelike, emotional, and dynamic album in audiophile sound quality.
“Alles Gute” is German-language poetry pop – melancholic and dreamy, wrapped around honest, questioning, and self-deprecating lyrics. At the heart of the eight songs on “Alles Gute” are the bold words and the shy piano of the highly talented singer-songwriter. Together with Matze Franz (guitar), Dave Demuth (bass), and Dave Mette (drums), Maria Wylma creates a new world in which inner chaos is brought to the surface and organized there -or perhaps not. Wylma’s carefully chosen words are lovingly complemented, emphasized, and expanded upon by her music. As a result, the lyrics gain transparency; they speak to the listener, invite them in, and draw them in. This sophisticated use of language is no accident: the artist, who has lived for many years in the cultural city of Winterthur near Zurich, is a journalist, copywriter, and editor – a career path she pursued after training in musicals and a brief stint in show business. The Klanghaus Toggenburg in Switzerland was chosen as the recording location for “Alles Gute.” The location, which consists of several rooms, made it possible to record the band as a compact ensemble in a smaller room, while a large central room and an echo chamber with reverb pads by sound engineer Marcel Babazadeh could be mixed in simultaneously to create the spatial atmosphere. “Alles Gute” was pressed on high-quality 140-gram vinyl by MEK Vinyl in Switzerland and cut at 33 RPM.
“Rundum.music” was founded in 2025 by Ramona Huber. In the Swiss label’s sound philosophy, the vinyl record offers the best conditions for realistically capturing and reproducing music. To ensure that listeners can enjoy natural and precise music reproduction in their own homes, Ramona Huber closely oversees the vinyl production process – from recording to pressing. Close collaboration with the pressing plant and cutting engineer ensures that vinyl production is flawless. At the very beginning of this process, of course, is the musical vision of the respective artists. The label initiates projects together with the musicians and is fully responsible for the recording process. The music is recorded live in multiple takes without overdubs, captured by more than a dozen microphones. All tracks are mixed during recording using analog mixing consoles from SCHERTLER and recorded in two-track format with a professional high-end recorder from NAGRA. The recordings are neither edited nor enhanced with effects; instead, they are listened to and selected on-site using a high-end system featuring the “Thales Magnifier” preamplifier and Manger’s “s1” active speakers.
