Little Feat was founded by the late, great Lowell George and made music that was laid-back, funky, literary, and impossible to categorize. Released in 1972, “Sailin’ Shoes” captured the band at the moment their legend was taking shape – a mix of sharp stories and swampy grooves that defined the coolness factor of the early ’70s. From “Willin’” and “Easy To Slip” to the boastful title track, it’s a masterclass in Southern California songwriting with a touch of Louisiana. These songs cemented Little Feat’s legend as one of rock’s most distinctive voices. Produced by Tod Templeman, the album was voted #469 on the third edition of Colin Larkin’s All Time Top 1000 Albums.
As part of its “Acoustic Sounds 40 Series,” Analogue Productions is now celebrating this classic album with a collectible Hybrid SACD. Matthew Lutthans’ meticulous and loving remastering to DSD from the original tapes at The Mastering Lab ensures that this new Hybrid SACD edition boasts sound quality never heard before!
We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
