Albéniz’s Iberia is considered the Spanish composer’s masterpiece. The cycle, consisting of four volumes of three pieces each, requires great skill on the part of the pianist. For this 1961 RCA recording, Jean Morel conducted the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra at La Maison de la Chimie in Paris, recorded by sound engineer Kenneth Wilkinson. The remastering for Analogue Productions was carried out by Willem Makkee.
