The fourth album by Michael, Jermaine, Marlon, Tito, and Jackie was released on April 12, 1971, on Motown. The album was released following the success of the hit ballad “I’ll Be There”; most of the album’s tracks are ballads, with only a few up-tempo numbers. The album features the hit singles “Never Can Say Goodbye” and “Maybe Tomorrow.” Although it was not as commercially successful as the Jackson 5’s first three albums, “Maybe Tomorrow” includes some of the most frequently sampled and covered songs in the group’s repertoire. The album also spent six weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. soul album charts and sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide! The lead single “Never Can Say Goodbye” reached No. 1 on the pop and R&B charts and expanded the expressive range of Michael’s energetic vocals.
Universal Music Japan is now presenting a strictly limited LP reissue of “Maybe Tomorrow” – pressed on high-quality, clear green 180-gram vinyl (33 RPM). The album comes with an OBI strip and contains a booklet including liner notes and lyrics.
We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
