The style of the extraordinary Hungarian conductor Istvan Kertész was described as colourful and spontaneous, but always with great respect for the composer’s style. This recording, made in 1965-66, represents a high point in the London Symphony Orchestra’s association with Kertész, whose life ended at the age of 43 in a swimming accident during a concert tour.
Here’s a little tip from us: Only the first 1,000 copies of this limited edition, manufactured in Japan, feature a sequential serial number and are therefore extremely sought after by collectors. So don’t wait too long to place your order!
We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
