Hank Mobley – Mobley’s 2nd Message [Mono] (SACD hibrid mono)

‘Mobley’s 2nd Message’ was recorded in July 1956, just a week after ‘Mobley’s Message’. On this recording he was joined by Kenny Dorham on trumpet, Walter Bishop on piano, Doug Watkins on bass and Art Taylor on drums. It is the last collaboration between Hank Mobley and Kenny Dorham as part of a band. Recorded by the legendary Rudy van Gelder.

The hybrid mono SACD is released in a mini-LP cover as part of a series of 50 reissues by the legendary Prestige label. There will be 25 mono and 25 stereo recordings. The new mastering was done by Kevin Gray at his Cohearent Audio Studios.

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
