Fritz Reiner & Chicago Symphony Orchestra – Debussy: Iberia (SACD hibrid multicanal)

This RCA series recording is a perfect symbiosis of interpretation, performance and sound. It contains a wealth of timbre and detail, is beautifully transparent, places each instrument in its proper place and makes the recording venue, Chicago Orchestra Hall, audible. The soundstage is complete, both in depth and width, with the CSO’s magnificent brass section at the centre.

As with so many excellent orchestral recordings, the percussion steals the audiophile show. The percussionists on this recording will astound you. Listen to their mastery of even the fastest dynamic changes. The multi-channel hybrid SACD has been remastered by Ryan Smith at Sterling Studios (New York).

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
