Foghat – Foghat (SACD hibrid)

Released in 1972, Foghat’s debut album of the same name presented a sound that was made for both the big stage and the turntable – raw, blues-soaked, high-octane rock that made you want to turn up the volume “just a little bit more.” With former Savoy Brown guitarist and singer “Lonesome” Dave Peverett, Foghat captured the raw spirit of the British blues boom and adapted it to the FM era. From the thunderous opener “I Just Want To Make Love To You” to the heavy shuffle of “Trouble, Trouble” to the boastful “Fool’s Hall Of Fame,” this album is bursting with tight grooves, searing guitar riffs, and uncompromising energy. It’s the album that laid the foundation for the arena hits that followed—and it still sounds like a full-throttle party! Whether you’re rediscovering Foghat’s early days or hearing them for the first time, this pressing captures exactly what made early ’70s rock so electrifying: unfiltered energy, insane grooves, and analog sound at its finest.

As part of its “Acoustic Sounds 40 Series,” Analogue Productions is now honoring this classic album with a collectible Hybrid-SACD. The elaborate and loving remastering to DSD from the original tapes ensures that this Hybrid SACD offers sound quality that has never been heard before!

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
