Chris Botti – In Boston (SACD hibrid)

American Chris Botti is not only considered one of the best trumpeters in the jazz scene – his albums have also made him a star in the pop business: over the years, he has shaped the sound of musicians such as Sting. His solo albums made him a chart-topper and heartbreaker in the US, thanks to his virtuosity, good looks, and incredible stage presence, which can be felt in every note on this live album. “In Boston” was recorded on March 31, 2009, with the Boston Pops Orchestra and features a veritable who’s who of musicians and singers who take turns on stage at Boston Symphony Hall: Sting and Dominic Miller, Yo-Yo Ma, Josh Groban, John Mayer, Steven Tyler, and Katharine McPhee.

Together with his illustrious guests and the award-winning orchestra, Botti transports the listener into an immersive and moving soundscape, interpreting timeless classical, jazz and pop hits with enchanting trumpet tones and gentle moods. He moves effortlessly between cool pop sounds and jazz vibes. “In Boston” sold more than a million copies in the US. In Europe, it reached number 1 in the charts in Poland, but not until 2014, five years after its release. The Hybrid SACD from Universal Music allows this great concert experience to shine in new acoustic splendor – an audiophile feast for fans of sophisticated smooth jazz!

Here’s a little tip from us: Only the first 1,000 copies of this limited edition, manufactured in Japan, feature a sequential serial number and are therefore extremely sought after by collectors. So don’t wait too long to place your order!

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
