Carpenters – Gold: Greatest Hits (SACD hibrid)

The Carpenters, with songwriter Richard and singer Karen Carpenter, are one of the biggest acts in the business, having sold more than 100 million albums. They released ten albums between 1971 and 1981, seven of which went gold or platinum. The combination of clever arrangements and ingratiating vocals guaranteed hits in the 70s.

Hong Kong is a very special market for audiophile music lovers. The local branch of Universal Music recognised this and had some of Ball Au’s popular tracks remixed at Hong Kong’s Sound Max Studios. The mastering has clearly been done with the audiophile in mind and is often very different from previous productions. Naturally, both the PCM and DSD tracks benefit from the improved sound. The Hybrid SACDs themselves are manufactured in Japan.

Here’s a little tip from us: Only the first 1,000 copies of this limited edition, manufactured in Japan, feature a sequential serial number and are therefore extremely sought after by collectors. So don’t wait too long to place your order!

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
