Bill Withers’ Greatest Hits (Vinil 180g, LP)

A good 30 years after Bill Withers retired from the music business, it is almost impossible to avoid his musical work. His music is still present in all forms of media and can be heard on the radio, on television, in commercials, on soundtracks or as samples in hip-hop songs. Hits such as „Lovely Day”, „Use Me”, „Lean On Me” and „Ain’t No Sunshine” (which has over 350 cover versions) are testament to Withers’ ability to create unique and commercially successful soul classics from a variety of influences.

The catchy combinations of R&B, folk, funk, soul and gospel accents, delivered in a smooth voice, captivated millions of listeners. They made the idiosyncratic soul singer and guitarist world famous and earned him three Grammy Awards and a place in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Mobile Fidelity’s reissue of Columbia Records’ 1981 greatest hits album contains an essential compilation of his greatest hits. The outstanding sound quality of this pressing reveals Wither’s wonderful and authentic music anew with every listen, touching all the senses. Mastered by Krieg Wunderlich and Rob LoVerde, the 33rpm version is released on 180-gram vinyl in a limited and numbered editio

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
