Barry White – The Ultimate Collection (SACD hibrid)

Barry Eugene White (September 12, 1944 – July 4, 2003) was an American R&B, soul, and disco singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. A two-time Grammy Award winner, known for his deep voice and romantic image, he enjoyed his greatest success in the 1970s as a solo artist and with the Love Unlimited Orchestra, which scored a No. 1 hit with the song “Love’s Theme,” written by White. Over the course of his career, White recorded 20 studio albums, and numerous versions and compilations were released worldwide that were certified gold; 41 of these also achieved platinum status. White had 20 gold and 10 platinum singles, his worldwide record sales exceeded 100 million units, and he is one of the greatest music artists of all time.

“The undisputed king of boudoir disco, a master of soul and popular R&B, was an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, a first-rate producer, a singer-songwriter, and an arranger of outstanding talent. His hallmarks: lavish string arrangements, beguiling lyrics, and seductive vocal arrangements – and, last but not least, a voice like a ‘cosmic vibrator.’ ” (Rolling Stone).

Universal Music Hong Kong is now releasing the popular compilation of the American singer – which was first released on April 25, 2000 – in high-resolution Hybrid SACD format.

Here’s a little tip from us: Only the first 1,000 copies of this limited edition, manufactured in Japan, feature a sequential serial number and are therefore extremely sought after by collectors. So don’t wait too long to place your order!

We recommend the use of „L’Art du Son” CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
