Overview

The fully balanced, all-triode VK-55SE power amplifier retains all the strengths that make the VK-55 a stellar performer – including the world-class automatic-bias circuit found in BAT’s reference REX II Power amplifier–while incorporating the 6H30 SuperTube into a completely revised first gain stage. This is the same tube used in BAT’s REX II models, and provides the VK-55SE with a more transparent, involving reproduction of the musical event. The VK-55SE also employs the same paper-in-oil capacitors used in BAT’s flagship amplifier designs, resulting in more natural and coherent sonics. Finally, the power-supply energy storage is increased to over five times that of the VK-55!
